Leon's Arctic Challenge

 Well I have spent my final day in the Netherlands riding mostly small scenic roads, some of which follow the  river. I had a little drive through the city of Rotterdam, where I saw the cube houses. Leon, put a sticker on Rotterdam.

 I stayed in Raalte last night as when I got to the 'American Motorcycle Museum' yesterday, I found it was closed on Monday's so I booked a room in the hotel next door so I could visit it today.

 Norway has been a fantastic country to ride a motorcycle in, but all good things must come to an end, and I have now left Norway by ferry from Kristiansand. The ferry took me to the port of Eemshaven in the Netherlands.

 Today's ride was at a much lower altitude so no snow, but the scenery was still fantastic.

 Well the day didn't start too well because I pressed the wrong button on the sat nav and wasted an hour going in the wrong direction before I got back on track. Some jolly nice roads though, so enjoyable.

 Well Leon, you know how some days just don't go according to plan. Today was just one of those days for me as when I was doing a check over of my bike I noticed a problem with the rear brake, so had to divert off my intended route to a BMW Motorcycle dealer to buy some parts.

Hi Leon I arrived back on the mainland at Bodo and took the 17 road to Jektvik,  Then I stayed at a campsite near Bjerka. Can you put a sticker on those three places so you can see my route?

 I left the port town of Narvik and headed to the Lofoten Islands a couple of days ago.

 Well last night I setup my tent in a camp site just 13km from Nordkapp. This was the wonderful view from my tent.

 So I have finally gone as far north as I can in Europe on my motorcycle, having reached Nordkapp. Stunning scenery on the way here too, which I can also enjoy on the way back down.
